The Benefit game at Benton originally scheduled for Friday, February 28th will now be played on Thursday, February 27th. First pitch will be at 4:30 with the Varsity game being first, followed by the JV, and then the freshmen. Hope to see you there! GO CATS!!!
NLR Looks to defend Tourney Championship
The Charging Wildcats will open up the regular season again in the Benton Invitational Tournament. North Little Rock is the defending champions and has won this tournament 3 out of the last 4 years. The Cats open up on Monday, March 3rd at 6:30 against Sheridan. GO CATS!!!
Abraham "AJ" Williamson to Attend Harvard Law School
Many of our former student/athletes have moved on to do great things in both sports and academics. But few have accomplished as much as Abraham "AJ" Williamson has in the short time he has been away from North Little Rock High School. He is currently a Congressional Intern in Washington, DC where he also attends Howard University. He will graduate in 2014 with a degree in Political Science. We want to Congratulate AJ on his latest accomplishments. He was recently selected to study at Cambridge University in England for a year where he expects to earn his Masters of Philosophy, Politics, Development, and Democratic Education. AJ has also been accepted and will attend Harvard Law School! Congrats Mr. Williamson, we are very proud!

Danny Mitchell -Downtown Tip Off Club's Arvest Outstanding Baseball Player
Danny Mitchell has been selected for the Downtown Tip Off Club’s Arvest Outstanding Baseball Player. Danny will be recognized at the February 10th meeting to be held at The Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, Washington Ave. & Maple St. in North Little Rock. Danny is a Junior on The North Little Rock Charging Wildcat Baseball Team. Danny is a returning starter and projects to lead off for the Charging Wildcats and play left field or center field. He is coming off of a sophomore year where he hit .333, with 10 doubles, and had 15 runs scored all while playing exceptional defense in left field. Danny comes into his Junior season where he will be one of the top junior outfield prospects in the state. The baseball field isn't the only place Danny excels, he is also a wide receiver on the football team, and boasts a 3.3 GPA in the classroom. We are very proud of Danny and believe he has a very, very bright future in whatever he may choose.
